Kottu Rotti is a Sri Lankan street food celebrated by locals and foreigners. Many loves it to have late at night. Major thing about Kottu is the way it’s made. Believe it or not, making Kottu is an art.

We may have tried many varieties of foods but still they are just foods. Whereas Kottu stands as an evergreen emotion. Different types of fancy dishes may come and go but Kottu is always like our childhood crush which can never be forgotten or replaced.

If you really miss Kottu in this lockdown definetly do try this recipe.

Parata:

2 cups All purpose Flour
3/4 cup water
3/4 tea spoon salt
1/8 tea spoon Baking Soda
4 table spoons Coconut oil

Kottu rotti:

2 capsicums | 1 leek
1 carrot | Pandan leaves/curry leaves
1 green chili | 2 Big onions
3 cloves garlic | 1 tomato
Spices | Tomato ketchup
Soya sauce | 150g chicken breast
Chicken gravy | Coconut oil
Fresh milk(optional)
